How the Mini Cruise Works
Swedish coziness, some onboard shopping and a full day in Gothenburg – as a mini cruise with Stena Line from Kiel, the trip takes three days with two nights in your cabin. Catering is optional and booked on top; current prices are shown directly in the booking window.
Day 1: Departure from Kiel
Your mini cruise starts at the Schwedenkai terminal in Kiel. Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure at the latest. At 18:45 (17:45 at weekends) the Stena Germanica or Stena Scandinavica sails for Gothenburg. For dinner you can choose between the TASTE buffet restaurant and the Metropolitan à la carte restaurant, before rounding off the evening with live music at the bar. Afterwards you settle into your cabin for the first night at sea.

Day 2: A Day in Gothenburg and the Return Sailing
You arrive in the port of Gothenburg around 09:15 in the morning. The best spot to watch the ferry pass beneath the Älvsborg Bridge is the sun deck. After that you have the whole day to explore Sweden's second-largest city – whether that means shopping, museums, the Liseberg amusement park, or a boat tour on the Paddan canals. Your luggage can stay in the cabin. In the evening at 18:45 (17:45 at weekends) the ship departs for the return sailing to Kiel.

Day 3: Arrival in Kiel
After a second night on board with an evening programme, onboard shop and bar, you arrive back at the Schwedenkai terminal in Kiel around 09:15 in the morning. Head up to the sun deck to enjoy sailing into the Kiel Fjord before disembarking at a relaxed pace. Kiel's main railway station is just a short walk away.
