Gdynia - Karlskrona is the shortest ferry link between the Polish Baltic coast and south-east Sweden. Stena Line sails the route up to three times a day, so you can choose between a daylight crossing and a night in a cabin. If you're coming from northern Poland, eastern Germany or the Baltic states, this saves you the detour via Denmark.
Departure from Gdynia
The ferries leave from Stena Line's Promowy terminal at ul. Polska 4, in the port of Gdynia on the Bay of Gdańsk. Check-in closes 60 minutes before departure. Allow extra time, especially for summer evening sailings: if you miss the deadline, you won't be allowed to board.
The crossing
The crossing over the southern Baltic takes around ten hours. The Stena Ebba, the Stena Estelle and the Stena Spirit are used on the route. On board you'll find restaurants, a shop, a spa and a nightclub; breakfast is included with cabins. On the day sailing a seat is enough, while on the night sailing a cabin is the more comfortable choice. Payment on board is by card only.
Car, motorhome, bike or dog
Cars, motorbikes, motorhomes and caravans can travel; the price depends on the length and height of your vehicle, so give the dimensions including any roof box or bike rack. One bicycle per person is allowed. There are no charging points for electric cars on board, so charge before you depart. Arrival in Karlskrona and onward travel
In Karlskrona you dock at the Stena terminal on the island of Verkö, Verkövägen 101, outside the town centre. The town, with its naval harbour, is the capital of Blekinge county. By car, the E22 continues west via Karlshamn to Skåne and Malmö, and north to Kalmar and the island of Öland; from there the coast road continues towards Stockholm.
