Klaipėda - Karlshamn is the overnight ferry from Lithuania to Blekinge. TT-Line and DFDS share the roughly 400-kilometre Baltic crossing and each sell seats on the other's ships. For you, that means several sailings a day and a quiet night on board before you drive ashore in Blekinge the next morning.
Departure from Klaipėda
The two operators leave from different terminals in Klaipėda. TT-Line uses the terminal at Minijos g. 180, while DFDS uses the Central Klaipėda Terminal on Baltijos prospektas. Check your booking to see which operator you're sailing with. With a vehicle, check-in closes 90 minutes before departure with both operators, in Klaipėda as well as in Karlshamn. TT-Line scans the ID of every traveller at the desk in Klaipėda, so keep them to hand.
The crossing
The ferries leave in the evening (the DFDS sailing departs Klaipėda at 21:00) and reach Karlshamn the next morning. With TT-Line the crossing takes around 13 hours, and with DFDS around 13 to 14 hours. DFDS operates the Luna Seaways and the Optima Seaways, and since mid-September 2026 has also added the chartered Ciudad de Valencia to the line. Book a cabin for the night so you arrive in Sweden rested.
Car, motorhome, bike or dog
Cars, motorbikes, motorhomes and caravans can travel with either operator; with DFDS the standard car category covers vehicles up to 2.7 metres tall. Give the full dimensions of your vehicle, including any roof box or bike rack. Without a vehicle, you travel as a foot passenger with DFDS. Arrival in Karlshamn and onward travel
In Karlshamn, the TT-Line terminal is on Öresundsvägen at the edge of town. Without a car, Blekingetrafiken bus line 5 runs from the ferry terminal to Karlshamn Resecentrum station. By car, take the E22: Karlskrona is a good hour's drive east, Kalmar and Öland are around two hours away, and Stockholm is around five to six hours away. Heading west, the E22 runs via Kristianstad to Malmö.
Timetable, season and prices
On most days there are several sailings. With DFDS the ferry leaves Klaipėda at 21:00 and Karlshamn at 19:00, both local time. All departures from both operators are shown in the timetable.
