Travemünde - Karlshamn
TT-Line has sailed from Travemünde to Karlshamn since 2023. The route isn't a daily service: the ferry departs in the evening around once a week, and the crossing takes around 19 hours. DFDS connects Karlshamn with Klaipėda in Lithuania. According to DFDS, there are on average nine departures a week, including TT-Line's sailings, which share berths with DFDS. The newest route: POLSCA has sailed between Gdańsk and Karlshamn since early July 2026, officially launched on 12 August 2026. The Skania and the Copernicus are in service, with six departures a week and a journey time of around 13 hours. Terminal & check-in
The TT-Line terminal is at Öresundsvägen 49-0, 37431 Karlshamn, on the edge of town. Check-in at the terminal building opens about two hours before departure and closes 90 minutes before, even if you've already checked in online. If the office is closed, collect your boarding passes at the multi-kiosk in front of the building. All passengers need a valid passport or ID card, and children need their own.
Foot passengers travel to the ship by shuttle bus, with cyclists following the bus. The vehicle decks are closed during the crossing, so take everything you need on board out of the car beforehand. The nearest cash machine is a good 2 km away in the town centre.
Getting there and parking
Next to the TT-Line office you can park free of charge for up to seven days with a permit from the office. Camping isn't allowed on the site. Since 15 June 2026 you can also travel without a car on Blekingetrafiken's route 5 between the terminal and Karlshamn Resecentrum station, or take a taxi.
Onward travel from Karlshamn
Karlshamn lies on the E22, the coastal road of south-east Sweden. Heading east it leads to Karlskrona, on to Kalmar and Öland, and up the east coast towards Stockholm. Heading west you reach Malmö via Kristianstad and the Öresund Bridge. For the return trip to Germany, Trelleborg is also worth considering, with daily departures to Rostock and Travemünde.
